Employment Standards
Employers may choose to exceed these standards in their contracts of employment but they cannot offer less than what is set out in The Saskatchewan Employment Act.
Saskatchewan’s employment standards are governed by part II of The Saskatchewan Employment Act. The act establishes the minimum standards that employers must provide to their employees. While employers may choose to exceed these standards in their contracts of employment, they cannot offer less than what is set out in the act.
The Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety has assembled a guide for illustrative and educational purposes to help employees and employers better understand their obligations and rights under The Saskatchewan Employment Act.
