Adapting to the COVID-19 conditions where gatherings are restricted has many organizations considering virtual Annual General Meetings (AGMs).  Even though requirements for non-profits have been lifted during this time, many are eager to complete their organizational business for the year.

While virtual AGMs may be an option, it is still important for non-profit organizations to consider if holding a meeting online will be acceptable within your organization’s constitution.  Organizations should review their bylaws to ensure a virtual meeting is appropriate; groups are also encouraged to seek legal counsel to ensure this meeting will meet legal requirements.
