Join us for 30 wildly exhilarating uniquely different Saskatoon in-person events throughout June as part of the ParticipACTION Community Challenge, igniting health and wellness in Saskatoon and boosting our quest to be the Most Active Community. Come to any or all – there's something for everyone! friendsareas.ca The events will take place either at Richard St. Barbe Baker Afforestation Area RSBBAA or George Genereux Urban Reiognal Park GGURP for a great outdoor "Come to Nature Come To Life" experience! friendsareas.ca

The ParticipACTION Community Challenge presented by Novo Nordisk returns this year to help everyone enjoy the many physical, social and mental health benefits of getting active together!

This national initiative encourages everyone in Canada to get active throughout the month of June, ultimately recognizing Canada’s Most Active Community and awarding it with $100,000 to support local physical activity and sport initiatives.

Embark on a month-long wild adventure with 30 vibrant Saskatoon in-person events in support of the ParticipACTION Community Challenge, fueling health and wellness initiatives and propelling Saskatoon towards the title of Most Active Community. To help rally the City of Saskatoon to win the grand prize this year, we need everyone to participate!

• Local organizations: Register on the ParticipACTION website Then throughout June, track the number of people getting active and the incidences of physical activity to help our community compete for the title.

• Early Bird Prizes

Register your organization in the Community Challenge portal before the end of May. Prizing period ends May 31.

• Spirit Prizes

Your organization’s Community Challenge spirit. Prizing period ends June 7.

• Inclusion Prizes

Tell us how your Community Challenge activities are demonstrating inclusion. Prizing period ends June 14.

• Capacity-Building Prizes

Tell us what capacity-building need you would fill with $750. Prizing period ends June 21.

• Participation Prizes

Register and track your organization’s programs and events. Prizing period ends June 28.

• Individuals: Sign up on the ParticipACTION website, commit to getting active throughout June and browse different opportunities to help you move more where you live, learn and/or work!

Join Friends of the Saskatoon Afforestation Areas in the movement to get the word out, network, to build a stronger, healthier and more active City of Saskatoon

To win the challenge, our local City of Saskatoon government needs to opt in. Tell our Worship Mayor Charlie Clark and your City Councillor that we want in and are ready to win!

About the ParticipACTION Community Challenge presented by Novo Nordisk

The Community Challenge is a national physical activity and sport initiative that encourages everyone in Canada to get active throughout June in search of Canada’s Most Active Community. The challenge is open to all communities and individuals, ultimately recognizing Canada’s Most Active Community and awarding it with $100,000 to support local physical activity and sport initiatives. In addition to the national winner, there is also a prize for the most active community in each province and territory as well as weekly organization prizing to be awarded throughout June.
