SaskCulture is seeking up to two Saskatchewan artists or cultural workers, who are interested in developing a short video series of step-by-step creative activity projects based on their creative discipline or practice. The projects will be used as part of a Culture Days initiative designed to support DIY creative activity for elementary school-aged children facing barriers to cultural participation, especially during the pandemic.
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Filming and editing a video tutorial series (up to five videos) that leads online participants through a creative process resulting in several progressively more complex creative products;
- Each project should include some background to the artistic or creative project, such as its development as an art form or cultural experience;
- Creating age-appropriate, step-by-step instruction sheets for participants; and
- Providing a supply list for participants.
Remuneration for this project will be $2,000 per completed video project.
Interested candidates are invited to send an expression of interest that includes the proposed creative activity project; some background on its cultural importance; a breakdown of the proposed video tutorial (including the materials needed); and one or two examples of their work, to: info@saskculture.ca.
Expressions of interest will be accepted until December 15, 2020 at 4:30 p.m.
