Our hearts are saddened to know that more individuals have lost their lives as a result of someone's dark and deranged outlook on society in Pittsburgh. These were people practicing their faith in a shared place of worship - a synagogue in an American city. Any community, in any part of the world, should be safe from such evil. As more and more people in democratic countries speak out in anger and hate it becomes even more important for those of us that believe in a world where all human beings are accepted, as well as treated with respect and equity, to come together to make our feelings known. Various vigils are being held across the country, including the Vigil for Wholeness in a Broken World, organized by Beth Jacob Synagogue and Regina Multi-Faith Forum, will be held Thursday, November 1, 2018, at 5 pm, on the plaza at the City Hall, Regina.
