Celebrate National Aboriginal History Month
June is National Aboriginal History Month, an opportunity for all Canadians to learn about and celebrate the many contributions and cultures of First Nations, Métis and Inuit people. The initiative continues to grow each year, with many events and celebrations held to mark the occasion; check out the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan’s website for a list of events in our province.

The month is also an opportunity for further reflection and action on the 94 Calls to Action issued by Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada to promote reconciliation among Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in Canada. For a summary of those the cultural community should be aware of, check out this back issue of Engage.
