Foundations Learning & Skills Saskatchewan
Foundations Learning & Skills Saskatchewan (formerly READ Saskatoon) is a community-based, volunteer literacy organization that offers free literacy services to adults and their families and promotes literacy awareness, partnerships, and development. Since 1979, it has been providing confidential literacy services for adults with the help of trained volunteers. It has approximately 175 adult participants and 180 literacy volunteers that access its programs annually. In addition to trained tutors, it works with an additional 50 volunteers who provide support to its board of directors, family literacy programs, and staff members.
