Saskatoon Children's Choir Corp.
The Saskatoon Children's Choir (SCC) is an integrated pedagogical approach to choral music education in which children grow as artists and are inspired to live lives of worth and service. SCC was established in 1996 and, until December 2020, was under the sponsorship of the Saskatchewan Music Educators Association. The SCC is now incorporated as a non-profit, charitable organization.
The SCC performs three major concerts a year, supported by professional instrumentalists, at Knox United Church. These performances follow a professional structure, providing the choristers the opportunity to learn best protocols and performance skills. The SCC also accepts invitations to perform in other locations in Saskatchewan throughout the year. Approximately every second year, the SCC undertakes a humanitarian and social advocacy project, which may include an international tour.
