Community Outreach Assistants

The Saskatchewan Archaeological Society (SAS) is seeking two (2) post-secondary students to assist us in the delivery of archaeology services to communities throughout Saskatchewan. This includes providing archaeological educational programming as well as working with artifact collections. Applicants should have public speaking experience and be comfortable working with diverse audiences.

Qualifications:
• must be a current post-secondary student in Archaeology/Anthropology, Museum Studies, Indigenous Studies, History or a closely related field (Masters program is preferred but experienced BA or BSc students will be considered)
• familiarity with Saskatchewan archaeology
• public speaking ability
• computer competency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• energetic, motivated, self-directed but capable of working in a team setting
• excellent communication and organizational skills
• willingness to travel
