Globe Theatre is Saskatchewan’s largest performing arts organization with an annual operating budget of $4.2 million. Located in the historic Prince Edward Building in downtown Regina, Globe Theatre is Canada’s only permanent theatre-in-the-round. The theatre presents a 5-6 main stage shows as well as a programming in the secondary community theatre, that showcases new work and emerging artists. Globe Theatre School offers multi-disciplinary theatre classes for children, teens and adults, a professional actor training program and apprenticeships. POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Clerk will work 20 hours a week to perform accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting functions at Globe Theatre. This role will require collaboration with the incumbent accounting team to assist in achieving the targets of the Globe’s Finance department. The responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following tasks:

Work in collaboration with the incumbent accounting clerk to share in the tasks of the organizations accounting responsibilities.
Process weekly payroll, monitoring Sage HR, and assisting in reporting requirements associated with payroll and benefits. This will require adhering to all collective agreements.
Maintain payroll records for all staff and contracts for all artists in a secure and orderly manner.
Prepare and file T4s, T4As, Records of Employment and Payroll remittances as per government requirements.

Perform Accounts Payable functions in Sage, including coding invoices, data entry and producing and mailing cheques.
File paid invoices and payroll documentation on a weekly basis.
Assist in monthly close and the annual audit as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will be:
Experienced in performing union and non-unionized employee payroll
Experienced with Sage and Microsoft Office
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills and a willingness to learn
A team player who thrives in a creative, collaborative environment
Open to change and new possibilities

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Working Conditions: This role will be a part-time permanent salaried position. Work weeks are based off a 20-hour week, and with any overtime banked. Vacation time is accrued and can be taken throughout the year with prior approval.

Salary Range: $20,000 to $25,000 per year for the part-time position based on experience, paid bi-weekly.
