Archivist, Indigenous Collections at University of Saskatchewan

Qualified Indigenous candidates are invited to apply for a full-time, three-year term (non-tenure track) archivist position with the University of Saskatchewan’s University Archives and Special Collections, University Library (UASC). The successful candidate will bring their experience and expertise to the work of developing and implementing an Indigenous and decolonized approach to Indigenous-related collections with the UASC team.

Applications are invited from candidates with a Master of Archival Science degree, Master of Library and Information Science degree or equivalent degree; and candidates with post-secondary education combined with relevant experience with Indigenous archives or libraries. Experience as a professional archivist or librarian as well as experience working with Indigenous archives/libraries are highly desired assets. Candidates nearing completion of relevant degrees are also encouraged to apply.

Only Indigenous candidates will be considered for this position. Verification of Indigenous Membership/Citizenship at the University of Saskatchewan is led and determined by the deybwewin | taapwaywin | tapwewin: Indigenous Truth policy and Standing Committee in accordance with the processes developed to enact the policy.
