Contract Dates: February 2023 - February 2024

The Art Gallery of Regina (AGR) is hiring a part-time Partnership Manager position to oversee a new partnership initiative between the AGR and Holophon Audio Arts (Holophon), which aims to boost each organization’s resilience and programming capacity through sharing resources, and ideas.
About Holophon and the AGR:
Holophon Audio Arts is a non-profit organization supporting sound art and experimental music in Saskatchewan. The organization was founded in 2008 and is centered in Treaty 4 Territory/Regina. Holophon engages communities using sound as an artistic medium, promoting sound art and experimental music through live performances, concerts, workshops, community events, and educational programming. In our projects we look for ways to unite artists and audiences across disciplines and specializations using sound as an integral artistic component. Holophon works to increase awareness of and to develop sound art practices in the province of Saskatchewan and on the Great Plains of Canada, and to encourage and facilitate discussion around critical and creative listening.
Located on Treaty 4, the traditional territory of the Cree, Saulteaux, Nakota, Lakota and Dakota peoples, and the homeland of the Métis people, the Art Gallery of Regina (AGR) promotes the development and appreciation of contemporary art, with an emphasis on Saskatchewan artists. Our programming focuses on the voices and experiences of Saskatchewan artists and visitors. AGR programming encompasses exhibitions (featuring established, emerging and recreational artists), education, publishing, workshops and artists talks. Through free public exhibitions and dedicated support for artists and innovation, the AGR has over 45 years as a supportive and creative cultural hub connecting artists and our communities. The Art Gallery of Regina is an independent public art gallery with non-profit and charitable status.
About the position:
The Partnership Manager will work closely with the AGR and Holophon to coordinate between both organizations as the onsite representative for Holophon and help to organize partnership programming and operational activities at the AGR. The Manager will also research long-term partnership opportunities by conducting community outreach, meeting with other organizations and media-arts collectives, and by applying to grant opportunities. The schedule for this position is flexible and could involve both on-site and remote work.
We are looking for:
Someone who is passionate about media and sound art and is interested in supporting the creation of inclusive opportunities to engage artists and communities in media art experiences through grant writing and creative problem solving. The Partnership Manager is a liaison between the two organizations and will build partnership activities through conversations with external parties. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. We are a small team, therefore the successful candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently while coordinating efficiently with other staff and administrators of the City of Regina owned facility in which the AGR is a tenant.
Some tasks include:
writing grant proposals for media arts programming & partnership opportunities;
researching media arts organizations, sound festivals, and other sound art programming initiatives;

coordinating between holophon and the AGR;

assisting with occasional holophon events and programs;
some gallery operational activities when on-site (opening & closing the gallery, greeting visitors, processing financial transactions for memberships & sales).
Qualifications:

some experience research and writing reports;
