Communications Strategist

The Communications Strategist is responsible for creating and managing the agency’s internal, external, and online communications. They collaborate with staff, and build inspiring communications strategies, plans and content to support program, project, and public relations needs. They collaborate with artists, arts organizations and audiences to profile stories from the arts in celebration of the vibrancy of our arts community and the impact of SK Arts’ support on the province’s arts ecology and the life and culture of our province.
The selected candidate has superior research, writing, editing, presentation, and analytical skills, and has a solid relationship with the media. They have the capacity to think strategically and have a reputation for composing engaging and accurate content. They are a resourceful team play and have demonstrated the ability to lead a broad range of communications and public relations initiatives and develop and implement relevant tools.
The Communications Strategist reports to the agency’s Chief Executive Officer. Their work is undertaken both in an office and in the field, and in a unionized environment. Intermittent travel and occasional irregular hours of work are required. The Communications Strategist manages their portfolio and time within a monthly allocation of hours.
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent, In-Scope, Field
Salary Range: $6,231.98 to $7,292.59 monthly (5 steps)
$74,783.76 to $87,511.08 annually
(Pay Band 10, SK Arts/SGEU Collective Agreement, 2016 to 2022)
Employment Location: Regina, Saskatchewan
