Member Innovation Coordinator
Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative, Regina or Remote/Hybrid

The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative is looking to expand its team of creative professionals by seeking a Member Innovation Coordinator (MIC) for a 3 month contract with the possibility of renewal for an additional 3 months.
The MIC will support the ongoing needs of the organization through bringing innovative ideas to our collaborative team. Ideally, the MIC will be a past or present member of an Independent Media Arts Alliance (IMAA) member organization, preferably the Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative. The applicant would need to have knowledge of Treaty 4 Territory/Regina, and be based in the city for a combination of remote and in office work.
The MIC will ensure that current Filmpool members are engaged with programming and production activities, while also reviewing how the organization approaches membership engagement. This work will support the Filmpool grow in a way that meets the access needs of our current and future members while striving towards a decolonial, anti-racist, queer positive, feminist and underrepresented gender affirming framework.
Membership Engagement
* Strategize innovative approaches to membership engagement (conducting an audit of our newsletter, social media presence, etc.)
* Spearhead an accessibility audit of the organization in collaboration with an hired consultant (Listen to Dis)
* Research and lead a membership outreach campaign on starting a virtual retail operation for the Filmpool (16mm film stocks, super 8mm film stocks, cores, reels, splicing tape, shirts, totes, magnets, stickers, enamel pins, etc.)
Policy Review
* Conduct a literature review of Decolonization, Diversity and Equity policies/bylaws of media arts organizations
* Develop a draft of a safer spaces and anti-racism policy addendum alongside staff and policy committee members
* Drafting policy recommendations and being in conversation with the policy committee chair about potential changes
Updating the Membership Application Process
* Engage with the AMS | Network – Arts Management System (membership, equipment, projects and program management system) in collaboration with the Production Coordinator
* Update web forms for membership renewal and application
* Streamline the membership application process for remote application in a user friendly way.
Additional Tasks
* Dissemination of The Dailies: our in-house weekly newsletter (via mailchimp)
* Updating our website (via wix.com website builder)
* Creating graphics and content for social media (via adobe creative suite, we have this in office)
* Communications through social media platforms (facebook, instagram, twitter) and through Filmpool print related promotional materials (brochures, posters, etc.)
* Other duties as assigned
Skills/ Knowledge
* Bilingual or multilingual proficiency desired
* Experience with digital communications (graphic design, social media engagement)
* Experience with or interest in analog film technologies/processes
* Educational qualifications and/or practical experience expected
Salary
$21/h at 20 hours a week
