Marking the Anniversary of the 1987 National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights, October 11 is marked as National Coming Out Day. It serves as a day of awareness for 2SLGBTQ+ awareness and encourages those who are ready to, and safely able to do so, to come out.
