Heritage Day, which is on the 3rd Monday of February, marks the beginning of Heritage Week within Canada. Established by the National Trust in 1973, Heritage Week is a celebration of Canada's past and future and all of the museums, historic sites, cultural landscapes and cultural centres that connects all peoples to heritage in their communities.
