Nowruz 2025 spring festival
As in previous years, we are excited to host a two-day event to celebrate Nowruz, the traditional festival marking the arrival of spring—a 3,000-year-old tradition cherished by many communities, including the Iranian community.
The festival will begin with a full day of educational and community-building activities, featuring a community market (Bazaar) where attendees can explore artistic creations, handmade crafts, and food and baked goods from the Iranian community. Dedicated booths will offer engaging educational programs for children and young adults, educating them about the culture, history, and heritage of Iran. The event will be from 9am to 5 pm.
The second day will feature a grand gala at the spacious and accessible Grand Salon of TCU Place in Saskatoon, accommodating over 500 guests. The gala will run from 7:00 PM to midnight, offering a rich program of activities, including live performances of traditional and modern Persian music, folk dances, storytelling, a Haft-Seen display, and exquisite Persian culinary delights. In parallel, there will be educational games and activities for children, focusing on folklore storytelling and traditional artistic performances.
This festival warmly welcomes individuals from all communities, fostering cultural exchange and unity while celebrating the Persian New Year with joy and renewal.
