Kaija Sanelma Harris: Warp & Weft

Kaija Sanelma Harris: Warp & Weft is a collaborative project presented across two venues: Remai Modern and the Saskatchewan Craft Council. In recognition of the complementary missions of the two organizations, the SCC’s exhibition highlights the creative, personal, and technical shifts in Kaija’s extraordinary work, while Remai Modern’s exhibition situates Kaija within the context of visual art history. Together, these exhibitions tell the story of one of Canada’s most important textile artists.

Exhibition Dates:
Remai Modern: September 28, 2024 – March 9, 2025
Saskatchewan Craft Council: October 12, 2024 – February 8, 2025

Opening Celebrations:
Save the date for the Opening Celebrations of ‘Kaija Sanelma Harris: Warp & Weft’ on October 19! Join us at 12 PM at the Saskatchewan Craft Council (SCC), followed by a Curators Talk at 3 PM at Remai Modern featuring curators Steph Canning, Maia Stark, and Michelle Jacques. This collaborative exhibition spans two venues, with admission by donation and free entry for members and youth. Guests attending the opening celebration are also invited to a Curator’s Tour of Nancy Lowry’s new exhibition, Colour in Place, at 2 PM, led by Bevin Bradley, Associate Curator at Remai Modern.
