Grand Opening Indigenous Peoples & Archaeology Building Exhibit

We are so excited to present to the public our newest exhibit and the crown piece of our museum. Over the past six years, we have received three major archaeological collections and we have them housed in the Indigenous Peoples & Arcaheology Building. We will have a full program for the Grand Opening on June 21st, National Indigenous Peoples Day from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Our program will start with greetings from a number of provincial heritage organizations, and will then include stories from the donor families, entertainment by Indigenous dancers and drummers, demonstrations of flintknapping and beading, self-guided tours through the exhibit and also through our Settler village, refreshments, etc.
